St. Mary’s Cathedral & The Austin Club
Brigitte and Brooks’ wedding began with a traditional ceremony at St. Mary’s Cathedral followed by a reception at The Austin Club in downtown Austin.
The day was photographed with a documentary approach, grounded in intention, presence, and preserving the beauty of the in-between moments.
These are the moments that cannot be replicated and often go unnoticed in real time—the quiet gestures, the pauses, and the subtle expressions—which is exactly why they deserve to be preserved in a photograph.

Why Documentary Photography?
Documentary photography is not about perfection. It is about presence. It is about trusting that real moments are enough.
As both an editorial and documentary photographer, I move between these approaches throughout the day. Yet, there is something especially powerful about stepping back and observing rather than directing.
When people no longer feel pressure to perform or pose, something shifts. They become more themselves. Their interactions feel more genuine. The photographs capture not only how the day looked, but also how it felt.
